Yes, to a degree. 90% of my clients say, "It doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would." So the chances are that its not going to hurt as bad as you think.

 

I am currently using an anaesthetic gel called Sustaine. You still have to feel the outline(which is the worst part) but it makes the shading ALMOST PAINLESS. Numb like Novacaine in most cases.

 

ARE THE NEEDLES CLEAN?

 

ABSOLUTELY, every needle I use has never been used before, and will never be used again. The needles, are new, in autoclaved packages, and are removed from Positive Indicating Sterilization packages immediately before each tattoo. The needles are later destroyed. SPECIAL NOTE- I only use disposable plastic tubes- brand new, sterilized in package, destroyed after use. Most tattooers are still using metal tubes, which are then washed out, sterilized, and re-used. Plenty of clients come in and ask: You use new needles? Of course. But no-one ever asks, you use new tubes? Because they don't consider it. The fact is, new needles are great, but re-using tubes is just like re-using needles. Autoclave sterilization is 99.99% effective, so metal tubes are safe, but plastic, disposable, never-been-used tubes are even safer.

 

HOW MUCH FOR A TATTOO ON MY ARM OF A NAME?

 

Prices vary from 60.00 for any job that takes less than 15 minutes of needle time, to 600.00 for 4 hours of hardcore free-hand action. NOTE I've been tattooing for 15 years, so I've become a very efficient tattooist. It doesnt take long or cost much to do a very impressive, decent sized tattoo. Hell yes! If you can put it into words, I can tattoo it beautifully, and QUICKLY. I prefer to work 'free-hand'(design drawn directly onto the body part, with a pen before being tattooed), this way, the design is one-of-a-kind. It's born on your body. No one has ever seen this design, or will ever get it again, its born to you. To me thats how each piece should be done.
